IN THE NEWS

Passage

Over time, our world is shaped by passages, transitional moments in which various elements, ideas, and beings intersect, face, and influence each other. These junctures, often imperceptible, are at the core of evolution, whether a natural, social, or cultural one. This year, Avatar’s programming will explore the various aspects of these passages to reveal the beauty and complexity of the fragilities defining us. It will delve into the fertile space represented by the notion of passage, encompassing a variety of transitions and combing through cycles, mutations of states, elemental flows, and the passing of time.

Through a series of residences and events, sound and electronic works, performances and installations, we invite you to discover a journey in which each step is a passage, each work a confluence, and each encounter a possible transformation. Composed of exchanges between human and machine leading to confrontations between the urban and the rural, sonic tributes, and geographical crossings, this programming will consider the passages that punctuate our daily lives.
