Biographies

Hélène Matte is a poet with a background in the visual arts, which is tantamount to a visual artist who writes. Having received an MFA in visual arts, she is currently a doctoral student in literature, performing arts and film at the Université Laval in Quebec City. She has written numerous articles on art, in addition to organizing cultural events. Matte focuses on drawing, performance art and the spoken-word—with a decidedly interdisciplinary approach. The artist has taken part in numerous exhibitions and has performed in Europe, Canada and the Americas.

Jean-Marc Baude lives and works in France and Spain. He is a writer, performer, musician, visual artist, videomaker, editor and teacher. In addition, he is the co-founder of the Dépanne Machine collective and Dadasco Éditions.
