Pierre-Olivier Fréchet-Martin
Pierre-Olivier Fréchet-Martin is launching Biome, a new research born from his performance Mouvement de veille that he presented at Mois Multi 2017.
These two performances are the culmination of a series of installations realized over the last few years on exploration and deconstruction of the moving image by the use of various light devices. In the manner of a shadow theater, lights integrated into plant elements oscillate by the simple variation of its intensity.
Pierre-Olivier Fréchet-Martin
The artist from Québec City, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the Université Laval. His work is essentially based on the installation made using electronic devices. In 2008, he participated in the Manif 4 and exhibited solo at Caravansérail in Rimouski. That same year, he received a Research and Creation Grant from the Emerging Artists and Writers Program of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec. Since then, he has participated in many events, including the first edition of Relève en Capitale, as well as a solo exhibition at the Galerie des arts visuels de l’Université Laval and the Verticale in Laval. His work has also been exhibited in the Maritime Provinces and France.
