Audiomobile

Publication / 2005
Matt Smith and Sandra Wintner were invited to complete an Avatar residency to produce an audio work for the Audiomobile. It was introduced at Mois Multi 6.
The Audiomobile project is an exercise in urban mapping through sound, developed by Matt Smith and Sandra Wintner. It is a car with an elaborate audio system connected to a GPS. Inside it, audio files are triggered by the location of the vehicle. Smith and Wintner enlisted Érick d’Orion, Fred Lebrasseur, Hélène Matte, Daniel Rochette, and Philippe Venne to design their own sound maps of Quebec City.
