Tango is an assembly of extracts from audio programs of various origins captured on several frequency bands but mainly taken from what is commonly known as “short waves”. These sources are raw and have not been processed in order to preserve the sonority and the filtrations specific to each receiving device. Because analogue is sensitive to natural phenomena, Martin Meilleur amplified signal interference through accumulation and loop work.
“Space and time interference in the wonderful world of short waves”, Tango leads to a reflection on communications and on the phenomenal amount of waves that surround us, and also offers a range of textures for their simple aesthetic qualities.
