The collective work Il y a en effet quelque chose was presented at 3e Impérial centre d’essai en arts visuel in Granby for the Instants ruraux : l’art actuel comme atout de développement social forum, which reflected on the dissemination of contemporary art as a way of questioning the immediate setting of neo-rurality. The discussion was led by 11 communicators and artists from eight Quebec regions, including sociologists Bruno Jean and Guy Sioui Durant and the mayor of Amos, André Brunet.

James Partaik, David Michaud, and Diane Morin developed the sound installation Il y a en effet quelque chose in co-production with Avatar. The premise of the work is a day at the centre of the “triangle of darkness” in Granby after the 1998 ice storm and the fight against Hydro-Québec’s strong-arming.
