Eltractor à l’Images Festival
Eltractor à l’Images Festival Eltractor (2002)

The Images Festival of Independent Film and Video was Toronto’s chance to experience Eltractor for the first time. The group was invited to open the festival at Lee’s Palace, where they performed behind a translucent screen on which images created by Boris Firquet were projected.

The Images Festival of Independent Film and Video was Toronto’s chance to experience Eltractor for the first time. The group was invited to open the festival at Lee’s Palace, where they performed behind a translucent screen on which images created by Boris Firquet were projected.

The performance featured interactive work involving Eltractor and the Toxic Twins, two aquarium fish whose random movements were used to generate MIDI signals. For a short time, the fish influenced the selection of images and sounds at the event opening. Eltractor made such an impression that organizers brought the trio back to open the 2003 Images Festival.
