Avatar à Ars Electronica
Avatar à Ars Electronica Jocelyn Robert, David Michaud et Boris Firquet (1997)

For the opening of the Ars Electronica festival and the festivities surrounding the 10th anniversary of KunstRadio in Austria, Avatar presented a series of audio and electronic art discussions, installations, and workshops.

For 10 days (July 18 to 27, 1997) the Hybrid Workspace mixed media workshop faithfully mirrored the issues of the day. Jocelyn Robert, David Michaud, and Boris Firquet also presented Station to Station, which involved telephone performances and an online interactive project.

For Recycling the Future, Avatar streamed a 15-minute audio piece from its office every day at noon from September 9 to 12. The pieces, which featured different themes depending on the broadcast date, were also heard simultaneously in Austria, where it was 6 p.m.

The Recettes pour recycler le futur (Recipes for Recycling the Future) were placed on Avatar’s website. The public was also asked to contribute favourite recipes.
